Metzger will go into the Guiness Book Of World records as being the 1st person to attempt and land a back-flip on a motorcycle over the fountains of Caeser’s Palace, at an official jump distance of 125 ft! This jump was aired last night live on ESPN during a Mission Impossible 3 promotion. The jump was billed as “The Impossible Jump”. Metzger is not however the first person to jump the fountains; Evil Knievel, Robbie Knievel, and Gary Wells have jumped the fountains as well.

I know I don’t write too much about motocross/supercross, but it is one of my favorite sports and hobbies, so here goes. This Saturday is the 2005-2006 Supercross season finale @ the MGM Grand in Vegas, and it’s shaping up to be a great race! Only 3 points separate the top 3 riders! RC (Ricky Carmichael) and Chad Reed are tied for first, with James “Bubba” Stewart just 3 points back in 3rd place. This has got to be one of the closest championships of all time. The “Perfect Storm” as it was billed at the beginning of the season has finally happened. The top 3 riders in the world have stayed somewhat healthy, and made it thru the entire season. As always this last race is “pay-per-view” with the whole night program being shown live! (more…)

Yeah so if you haven’t learned by now, the movie “Rad” is one of my all time favorite movies. In the latest class I’m taking (media) we were talking about “Cult Films” and of course “Rad” is one of them. I have been searching the internet for the soundtrack to this film, but it turns out it was never released, so I guess I will have to buy some pirated copy off of ebay or something.
Anyways for anyone who cares here is an interview I found with Bill Allen, who played Cru Jones in the movie. Read the Cru interview.

I received an email this morning stating that at 01:02:03 pm today it would be 01:02:03 04/04/06……….yeah yeah I know……amazing. So I got to thinking about if any other screwy dates are coming up. Then it dawned on me what if you were born on June 6th of this year? How bad would that be! When were you born little Damien? “6-6-6″…………..sweet. Ok back to work……
And yes I just did the mano cornuto or the devil horns!
Dio Rocks!
“Holy Diver
You’ve been down too long in the midnight sea
Oh what’s becoming of me
Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he’s clean
Oh don’t you see what I mean
Gotta get away
Holy Diver”
Did you know Dio was born in Cortland, NY?
From wikipedia (this is funny):
From the section “heavy metal” under variations
Exisiting most often within (or perhaps exclusively with) the metal circle is a slight variation where both hands are used. All digits, with the exception of the little fingers, are closed and the hands are then brought together; thumb on thumb. This form has been referred to as “too much metal for one hand”
Another form almost exclusively used with the metal circle (by some bands as the Brazilian band Angra) is alike to the version depicted above, except that all digits except the index are closed and the hands are brought together with thumbs pointing into opposite directions. It involves somewhat more coordinated arm placement to be executed, so not everybody in a heavy metal show can do it properly, usually recurring to the most common single-handed incarnation of the horns.
Ok now I’m really getting back to work……….lata! \m/ \m/

My favorite libertarian grahamgravy has a new post up that is really quite interesting and most certainly worth a read. Read the Neal Boortz commencement speech/
