Now I am confused! From the Van Halen News Desk Feb 11th: Van Halen’s manager was quoted as saying “I’m not denying it. I’m not going to answer any questions about it.” Then 2 days later said “in no way was he confirming the rumor that Van Halen was headed for ‘Rock Star.’”
I thought this rumor was put to bed months ago!
Now another rumor is floating around that the band “Camp Freddy” will be the band searching for a new singer on the reality TV show when it airs this summer. You probably haven’t heard of “Camp Freddy” and I can’t say I have either, but you probably have heard of some of its members; Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Billy Morrison (The Cult), Matt Sorum (Guns N Roses), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) and Donovan Leitch Jr. This is where I get lost…………Matt Sorum is the drummer for Velvet Revolver! Why in the hell would he want to join up with these clowns and start another band? Is VR on the brinks? Dave Navarro was the host of last seasons “Rock Star” series! Isn’t that a conflict of interest? That would be like Alex Trebek being a contestant on Jeopardy. I’m guessing he would be forced to step down as the host, if Camp Freddy is in fact the next act to ruin their careers by doing “Death Star”…………wait none of these guys except for Sorum really have a career left anyways so I guess if wouldn’t matter. Dave should stick with trying to look prettier than his hot ass wife Carmen Electra, and get Jane’s Addiction to put out another album. Billy Morrison should get Ian Astbury away from doing the half-assed 21st century Doors thing and get The Cult back together. While looking into this “Camp Freddy” thing, I found another band “Circus Diablo” that features Morrison on bass, as well as Sorum on drums. How many bands do these guys need?

Yeah it is about that time! I am kind of getting sick of the dismal no color gray thing I have working here, so I have decided to switch it up. See if I can put my recent skills I learned in Design 101 (which I aced btw thank you very much) to good use. The new theme will still be based on K2 , because I have yet to find anything better. My main goal is to not make it look like another wordpress/k2 site, by implementing some non K2 features. These ideas aren’t necessarily new to the blogosphere, but hopefully should set me apart from other K2 users. For those of you jonesing for my current K2 theme, go ahead and grab it over on my downloads page. I did not however throw in my images, so you will need to create your own!

Go get her Nick!
All I can say is HAHAHAHAHA…..why in your right mind would you not sign a pre-nup! Finally a guy will be screwing a girl during a divorce. Nick Lachey, should take Jessica Simpson for half of everything (which he is entitled to), so then Jessica is so poor she has to come hang out with me…….yeah it could happen. Anyways I don’t see 32 degrees or whatever the hell band Nick was in ever getting back together, and his solo career (can you even call it that) went no where fast, so Nick is probably hurting for the money. Good for him!

I have been lurking in the shadows as Kristin and Derek develop and even release some pretty cool tagworld and myspace profiles. Now it is time to join the party! Derek has a series of div overlay tutorials that are worth checking out (scroll about half-way down the page to find them). I think I know enough to be dangerous and have decided to attempt a div overlay for a friend. If this person doesn’t want to use the overlay, then I will probably release it for everyone else to use.

Ok, so the title is misleading, I am not going to show you how to write a pop song in 10 minutes. I have slacked as of late on my CD of the week postings, so I am going to change it up a bit. People always wonder (or make fun of) the music I listen to. I am going to try and explain why I listen to the music I do, and why I don’t listen to certain types of music. It basically boils down to lyrics; if I can relate to the song, and the lyrics of the song, then chances are I will like it no matter what the type of music. I can’t relate to “bitch slap my ho’s” and “she thinks my tractors sexy” so therefore I do not listen to rap or country! Plain and simple! Nothing against people who do, of course, but they are just two genres I will not listen to. I have been on an emo kick for the past couple years, and again it is all because of lyrics. So lets look at some of my favorite “emo” songs…..
