Office Poop Survival Guide

29Sep05 | funny, personal | No Comments »

I have received this many times, but I still find it very amusing……
You know you have all been in some of these situations before!

CROP DUSTING: When farting, you walk really fast around the Office
so the smell is not in your area and everyone else gets a whiff but doesn’t know where it came from. Be careful when you do this. Do not stop until the full fart has been expelled. Walk an extra 30 feet to make sure the smell has left your pants.

FLY BY: The act of scouting out a bathroom before pooping. Walk In and check for other poopers. If there are others in the bathroom, leave and come back again. Be careful not to become a FREQUENT FLYER. People may become suspicious if they catch you constantly going into the bathroom.

ESCAPEE: A fart that slips out while taking a leak at the urinal or
forcing a poop in a stall. This is usually accompanied by a sudden wave of embarrassment. If you release an escapee, do not acknowledge it. Pretend it did not happen. If you are standing next to the farter in the urinal, pretend you did not hear it. No one likes an escapee. It is uncomfortable for all involved. Making a joke or laughing makes both parties feel uneasy.

JAILBREAK: When forcing a poop, several farts slip out at a Machine gun
pace. This is usually a side effect of diarrhea or a hangover. If this should happen, do not panic. Remain in the stall until Everyone has left the bathroom to spare everyone the awkwardness of what just occurred.

COURTESY FLUSH: The act of flushing the toilet the instant the poop hits
the water. This reduces the amount of air time the poop has to stink up the bathroom. This can help you avoid being caught doing the WALK OF SHAME.

WALK OF SHAME: Walking from the stall, to the sink, to the door after
you have just stunk up the bathroom. This can be a very uncomfortable moment if someone walks in and busts you. As with farts, it is best to pretend that the smell does not exist. Can be minimized with the use of the COURTESY FLUSH.

OUT OF THE CLOSET POOPER: A colleague who poops at work and is Damn
proud of it. You will often see an Out Of The Closet Pooper enter the bathroom with a newspaper or magazine under their arm. Always look around the office for the Out Of The Closet Pooper before entering the bathroom.

SAFE HAVENS: A seldom used bathroom somewhere in the building where you
can least expect visitors. Try floors that are predominantly of the opposite sex. This will reduce the odds of a same-sex pooper entering your bathroom.

TURD BURGLAR: Someone who does not realize that you are in the stall and
tries to force the door open. This is one of the most shocking and vulnerable moments that can occur when taking a poop at work. If this occurs, remain in the stall until the Turd Burglar leaves. This way you will avoid all uncomfortable eye contact.

CAMO-COUGH: A phony cough that alerts all new entrants into the bathroom
that you are in a stall. This can be used to cover-up a WATERMELON, or to alert potential Turd Burglars. Very effective when used for Havana Omelets.

ASTAIRE: A subtle toe-tap that is used to alert potential Turd Burglars
that you are occupying a stall. This will remove all Doubt that the stall is occupied. If you hear an Astaire, leave the bathroom immediately so the pooper can poop in peace.

WATERMELON: A poop that creates a loud splash when hitting the Toilet
water. This is also an embarrassing incident. If you feel a Watermelon coming on, create a diversion. See CAMO-COUGH.

HAVANA OMELET: A case of diarrhea that creates a series of loud splashes
in the toilet water. Often accompanied by an ESCAPEE. Try using a CAMO-COUGH with an ASTAIRE.

UNCLE TED: A bathroom user who seems to linger around forever. Could
spend extended lengths of time in front of the mirror or sitting On the pot.
An Uncle Ted makes it difficult to relax while on the crapper, as you should always wait to poop when the bathroom is empty. This benefits you as well as the other bathroom atte ndeeump at the office.

Just received word from sweens that he made it safe and sound to Nashville. For those of you that didn’t know Bill decided to follow his love for playing music and travel down to Nashville to pursue his career in the music biz. He hooked up with Dan Smith (another upstate New Yorker….in fact another Genevian). Dan is in the band called Delilahwhy and If you are in to southern rock with a hint of the Black Crowes then definitely check them out. There are 4 good tracks already on the website, and I have personally had the pleasure of hearing a couple more tracks that are in the works. I wish Bill the best, and I hope this thing takes off! Good luck bro!

The Weekend Rant #2

Well where do I begin……Thursday was the start of our YMCA Volleyball league (ugh it seems like I just stopped playing volleyball…), but we managed to get win #1 into the books, when the other team didn’t show lol. Those are always the easiest wins, and a great way to start the season. Local volleyball star Bex-n-fx made the treck all the way from the big city of Fairport to play with us! It was good to see her…..I haven’t seen her since Feburary!! After volleyball it was off to Curley’s with the team for pizza and some drinks (which is an after volleyball ritual). You remember when you played little league and you went out for ice-cream after the games………..well this is the same thing except its beer and pizza…..and we all bitch cause we are old, sore, and out of shape! Anyways I took Friday off because it was my birthday weekend and I just felt like taking it off lol, so I was able to stay out for the duration with Mark, Nichole, Becky, and Jess.

Friday I slept in (which felt good), i didn’t get much done………well atleast not what I wanted to get done. I went to gtown to pick up some stuff, then changed guitar strings, and called it a night.

Saturday was the big day…..25 years old baby!! I got up early to get ready for my gig, and finish changing some strings. I had to be down in Whitney Point by 12……………but we didn’t end up getting there till 1:15 lol. So we were stressing to get things setup and ready to go. We didn’t end up starting to play till about 3. My Parents, Aunt Holly, Uncle Jeff, Spencer, Emelia, and Audra all made the trip down to see me play! It was cool to see my cousins because I haven’t seen them in a long time. It was also cool to have my Parents, and my Aunt + Uncle at one of my gigs. They haven’t seen me play since spring of 04′. Nichole also came so see me play for the first time! Nick also made the trip down to see us play, and actually came up and sang a couple songs with us, which was also very cool. The rest of the day went very well! I recieved an awesome vanilla cake with my picture on it lol! As well as a gift cert to my favorite store in the world (guitar center) from my peeps at work!!! Thanks to everyone who chipped in on that…..that is really cool. Thanks to everyone else from work that made the trip down to see the gig. Thanks to Nichole for getting me XM radio for my car and some much needed new kicks!

Sunday was another day of rest lol……..Nichole, Becky, and I went to Kabuki (sp?) for some sushi (yes I like sushi) and then went to see “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” which was pretty freaky. Well thats about it for the weekend rant #2

cya next time!

I am in the process up uploading all my pics to Flickr. It will take me a while because of the amount of pictures I have, so bare with me. I have uploaded the pics from last weekends trip to Geneva already so check them out.

The new link for my pics is http://www.flickr.com/photos/brdriscoll/

I will be adding a link to the navbar for Flickr. The “Photos” link on the Navbar will be to pictures I like that I have taken, and will continue to be stored on my site.
