OK Im going to start numbering my “what happened this weekend posts” so I can tell them apart!
So here it is, The brdriscoll weekend rant issue #1 :
Friday started off like every other friday does, and that’s at Curley’s for happy hour! Then it was off to see Nick’s band play at Legends in Union Springs. It was funny watching Nick sing in a band, I haven’t seen him sing since he used to sing with the Curse………and our last show was in March 2004. The Dude can sing……no doubt about it. I am kind of jealous he couldn’t get his head out of his ass and get his shit straight so he could continue playing with us, but that’s another story.
Saturday I got to sleep in!!! Finally a weekend where I really didn’t have any plans! I got paid Friday so now I could pay my monthly visit to Wegmans for groceries. Everytime I go there I realize how much I can’t stand other people in my way! They need to make the isles wider or something, because it seems like every freaking isle I went down I had to turn around and find an alternate route! I proceded down one isle only to find an elder person blocking it with one of those motorized scooters! He aparently didn’t see me and couldn’t hear me because he pulled a k-turn and ran directly in to my shopping cart. Im sorry but if ya can’t hear, see, or walk……..you probably shouldn’t be in Wegmans! Isn’t that what meals on wheels was for? Then it was on to the Wegmans sub shop for my fav turkey sub. The sub order went as usual, until the kid decided to spill a gallon of water all over the place, hence ruining my sub! After he made me another one I was finally able to leave, that is after handing them 99 bucks. Everytime I leave there it seems like I really don’t have anything but I gave them 100 dollars. Saturday night I went out to eat with the rents to TGIF in Victor. It was good to be home for a bit and see the fam.
Sunday I cleaned alittle bit but other than that did absolutely nothing!!! Nichole came over and I made dinner and then we watched “Maid In Manhattan” which was horrible, but she liked it and cried of course!! I just don’t get it…..she could cry at any movie lol! Its just a movie! And j-lo or whatever the hell she calls herself still can’t act.

Well it has finally happened………..today I received my first phone call from Ryan’s special friend Rodney. I don’t know how it happened…..but it did. I thought sweens was the only one good enough for calls from Rod!!! I guess the only thing that would have made the phone call better would have been Bruce the Goose in the background. Anyways… if you have no idea who Rodney or Bruce are then you probably have no clue what I am talking about! I recorded the message and uploaded it for everyone……DEFFANY CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Friday was the annual BDA Golf Tournament at Dutch Hollow Country Club in Owasco. My team finished +4…..which I didn’t think was bad, but the team in first place finished -10….oh well. Friday night I went to the 3rd annual Seneca Lake Whale Watch “open air concert” in downtown Geneva. Aparently I made the cover of the Fingerlakes Times, when they took a picture of the crowd…….right place, right time I guess haha. Which is kind of ironic because 30 Stones / Jameson’s Curse (my first band) played the first “open air concert” and had about 2,000 people there and didn’t even get mentioned in the paper, because back then we weren’t “associated” with the Whale Watch. And alot of people don’t that we actually had to pay to play that show…and Lynch’s just happened to be replacing that window lol………but it was worth it and we can always say that it was our idea (well sweeney’s) and we did it first.
Anyways it was good to see all my Gtown people like A-train, Rj, Mikey, Gina, Jimmy, Holly (aka Harcore Holly), and Nick…..blah blah blah…….the list goes on and on lol…Im so popular haha, well not really I just have friends that know an assload of people.
It was also good to see my man Tray who made the treck down from Bean Town (in a rented ‘05 Mustang no less…which of course I drove and beat the crap out of ha). Its been too long Bro!!! We need to get the “Brotherhood” back together for atleast a weekend or something every year!! People are probably wondering what the “Brotherhood” is right now…….well I don’t really feel like going into it now but basically it is what we called our circle of friends in High School (yeah I know pretty corney) but we thought it was cool at the time. We even branded ourselves with a lighter and a tie-tack haha….yeah I know, I know…..pretty stupid but oh well what ya going to do. Ah man good times…….I think that will be the basis of my next post…”Things I remember most from High School”
Saturday it was off to Whitney Point for my 3rd gig with “Interstate” at the FireFox Golf Resort. Man it still amazes me everytime I go to places like that…….I thought I grew up in a small town lol. Anyways the gig went really well…..no “major” mistakes and no equipment failures. I was kind of worried about my amp because last practice the power went out and screwed my amp up, so I had to reload the software onto it and start over with all my presets. Aparently Line 6 (the company that makes my amp…the vetta combo) knows about the problem but doesn’t really know how to fix it……which is just great considering I spent $1899.00 on the thing!! But it worked with no problems, and we sounded great. We tape everyshow but I don’t have a tape deck, so there for I have no way to get it onto the computer and burn it to a CD. Thats pretty sad considering I have $4,000 worth of recording equipment, including my computer and have no way to record a cassette tape to the computer lol. Oh well….maybe someday.

Well Nichole said I sounded like a geek in that last post. Aparently I get excited when people actually come to my site lol. I am a guy………Im not going to post entries about my favorite flower, or how I love my best friends lol….that just wouldn’t be right! Ah well…..anyways I will try and be less geeklike in my future entries.

I know I have been slacking a bit on the cd’s of the week, so I will try and get back in line.
Well aparently the Get up Kids have called it quits…….so I will honor them with the CD of the week nod from brdriscoll.com (like that means anything). Anyways check out “On A Wire” or any album of theirs for that matter.
