The Killers - “Hot Fuss”

29Apr05 | album review, music, personal | No Comments »

Well Since I listen to some wierd music, and some music that you guys probably haven’t heard of, I am going to give you a sneak peek at what I listen to, and what I think is cool.

My CD of the week is Hot Fuss by “The Killers” (if you haven’t heard of them than you need more help than I can give you)
If you are still stuck in the 80’s then I suggest you pick this album up! Lots of synths for today’s music, but also very guitar oriented. Overall a good cd with a lot of cool tunes on it.

Appendix…….

Well………turned out that on Tuesday I needed to have my appendix taken out! WTF…….So this has kind of been a rough week. Atleast I get to get out of work for about a week. It also looks like I won’t be riding for atleast a 3-4 weeks too! I spent two days in the hospital and let me tell you it is not fun! The first day was not too bad but after that I was ready to leave. The food was awfull……my main course was broth for two days! yuck….Any ways I am back in Compton Springs with my parents till Saturday or Sunday! I will catch up with everyone later! Thanks to everyone who helped me out this week! I really appreciate it! -one-

American men and women spend 15 percent of their days running in slow motion along the beach.

Americans almost drown an average of two times each hour.

Despite the habit of breathing water, CPR always works and no one actually dies, except from cancer.

People in the U.S. look thoughtfully at the ocean for an average of 15 seconds after being told anything of any importance.

Americans never worry about getting enough to eat, but fat people are unreliable and sometimes evil.

Most American women have abnormally large breasts that are worshipped via close-ups for an average of two minutes and thirteen seconds per hour.

When swimming in California, you are more likely to be attacked by jewel thieves or taken hostage by terrorists than you are to drown.

Most activities that take place off the beach occurs in montages and lasts no longer than two minutes.

Although Americans, especially lifeguards, complain that they are poor, they all have expensive sports cars and luxurious homes.

Motorboats, unlike cars, will not talk back to David Hasselhoff.

Summer….

Well I think the cold weather might finally be gone……
Going home tonight to work on my bike, then hopefully go riding tomorrow (weather permitting). Should be good to get back and start riding again, and actually get out of my apartment.

As far as band news……..well we are all still itching to jam. I think you will deffany hear from the Curse this summer so keep your ears to the rail. We have been throwing around a couple ideas as far as singers go, from doing it ourselves, to having a female singer. Its looking like it may be a combo of both lol so it should be interesting. If any of you know any “good” singers (male or female) that would want to jam, then drop me a line.

Well thats about it from me, thanks for checking out my site everybody! I have had 531 unique visitors and 338,246 hits since I started the site in September of 2004! Feel free to visit the forum or guestbook and leave your mark!!

Back To Work ;-(

Just got back from our cruise last night. We had a great time. I gained about 5 lbs and we spent $726 in 5 days…….not bad lol. Wish I was back in Florida already.

We arrived in Orlando Sunday morning about 10am. We went to Adam and Jen’s apartment and just laid by the pool for the rest of the day resulting in a pretty bad sunburn on my forehead (genius). Monday we headed for Tampa to catch the ship…..and finally after all the id checking, bag checking, and car parking we were on the ship. We proceeded to find the pool deck or the “lido deck” and the nearest bar. Tuesday we did pretty much the same thing, they call it a “fun day at sea” but really all ya do is sit by the pool, eat, and drink all day. Wednesday we arrived in the Cayman Islands! We decided just to catch a cab and head for the beach. We ended up at 7 mile beach where of course everything cost $$$. We found a spot on the beach and just hung out for a couple hours, getting in the ocean every half hour to cool off. On the way back we caught another cab, which turned out to be probably the most interesting part of the trip. The cab driver was this black dude who called himself “Super E”. I think he smoked his breakfast, because he was not right. Anyways we all piled into his POS ford mini van and headed back to the ship. This van would not do over 30mph without shutting itself off. Adam pointed out to “Super E” that his engine temp gauge was pegged!! He replied “yeaaaaaah Man………that don’t work” It was about this time when “Super E” told us his “mission in life, was to drive the cab while looking backwards”………yeah man!

His next mission he said “Is to take everyone in the van to heaven with him”……………saaaweeeeeeeet!

anyways we made it back to the boat in one piece, and went to the captain’s dinner where I housed some prime rib and lobster!!

Thursday we arrived in Cozumel Mexico……it was windy and cloudy, but still fairly warm. We signed up for this “party boat” tour which for $49 each got you all you could drink as they drove you around and eventually ended up at this beach (where you could also drink for free). The beach was cool (and everything was pretty much free to use)……..

After countless margarita’s it was time to go back to the boat……Nichole and I went to dinner then to bed lol, Adam and Jen stayed out and partied the rest of the night!

Friday was another “fun day at sea”………….we watched movies all day cause it was cold out and we were all tired from Thursday.

Saturday we arrived back in Tampa and finally we were back on dry land….. all of our equilibriums were pretty messed up from being on a moving boat for most of the week, so we continued to walk around like we were on a moving boat lol……
We got back to Orlando about nooner on Sat and just crashed at the pool! Sunday we did the same thing then headed back to New York!!!
